The legendary pantomime by Bolek Polívka in a new cast

The Clown, the Child and the Hen. A stage poem about a friendship stronger than the fear of life. Two fragile characters manage to displace the omnipresent danger with their playfulness and create a colourful world on shaky rubble. Bolek Polívka created the legendary production of Pépe in 1974. It is returning to the stage exactly 50 years later. But its theme has not aged a day.

“Palo Seriš triumphs over the burden of legend in moments saturated with playfulness of dialogue with his daughter Juliána, who is his equal acting partner, and also when he himself is a clown, a mime, a performer for himself.” Opera+

Pavol Seriš is a graduate of the Physical Theatre Studio at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, where he also completed his doctoral studies in December 2017. In his work, he mainly focuses on one-actor original theatre; his repertoire currently includes seven titles: Chutilo vám, páni?, Zo ZOO, Autor, Pri kase, Samko Tále, Pozemšťan and DADA Revue. He has received many awards for his original productions: the most recent Award for Best Actor at the FITUA 2015 festival in Agadir, Morocco, the Main Award at the European Young Theatre 2015 in Spoleto, Italy, and the Main Audience Award at the Monomaffia 2016 festival in Pärnu, Estonia.
