Something interesting must happen every ten seconds… and it does.

Award-winning, genre-defying, and utterly unpredictable — Red Bastard is not just a performance, it’s an experience. After receiving over fifteen 5-star reviews and international acclaim, this dangerous, seductive comedy-monster descends upon Polička and Mime Fest to provoke, seduce, and confront.

What begins as a clown show soon transforms into a thrilling game of truth, where the audience becomes an active participant. Raw dialogue, unexpected traps and rewards, dilemmas with no easy answers — prepare for a rollercoaster of laughter, tension, and unexpected connection. Every performance is different. And none leaves anyone untouched.

Red Bastard is the alter ego of American performer Eric Davis — a clown, actor, and director who stands among the most distinctive figures in contemporary physical theatre. He has created a grotesque, red-skinned creature with a massive body and piercing gaze — one moment mocking, the next hilarious — and always pulling you deeper into self-reflection.

Eric Davis has worked with Cirque du Soleil, appeared on Broadway (La Soirée), and performed at the world’s most prestigious alternative festivals, including Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, and Just for Laughs in Montreal. His work moves between improvisation, interactive theatre, and clowning, always with a strong focus on presence, tension, and live connection with the audience.

Red Bastard* is not just a show. It’s an event. A challenge. A meeting you won’t forget.

*The performance is delivered in English.
